The object of the British Veterinary Poultry Association is to facilitate discussion and the exchange of ideas amongst those engaged in the veterinary aspect of poultry disease and husbandry. Currently there are about 170 members of the association.
FULL MEMBERS - restricted to persons holding a veterinary qualification registrable in the United Kingdom who are full members of the British Veterinary Association. They have the right of voting on all matters and shall be eligible to hold office .
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS - restricted to veterinarians who are non members of the British Veterinary Association and to non-veterinarians. Non-veterinarians holding a recognisable scientific qualification or who can show relevant experience and expertise in the area of avian science or medicine may be accepted provided that they are engaged in research, advisory work or teaching concerned with avian science or medicine. They shall not be eligible to hold office but may be elected as members of the Committee.
